Terms of Service
Last updated
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and foo-ball (“foo-ball,” “we,” “us”), the operator of the foo-ball app and foo-ball.com. By creating an account or using foo-ball, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Eligibility
foo-ball is rated 4+ and open to a general audience, but you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) and able to enter into a binding agreement to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use foo-ball only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
The service
foo-ball is a free Soccer Cup bracket challenge for 2026. You make group-stage and knockout-bracket picks, they are scored as matches are played, and you can compare standings with friends in private leagues. The game is provided free of charge for entertainment.
Not gambling — no real-money wagering
foo-ball is an entertainment product. It involves no entry fees, no real-money wagering, no cash or prizes of monetary value, and no betting of any kind. The win-probability figures shown in the app are used solely to calculate scoring and the upset bonus. They are not betting odds and are not an invitation to gamble. foo-ball is not a gambling, betting, or sports-wagering service.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or with an email and password. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. Keep the information on your account accurate.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, or abuse other players, including in league or display names;
- use offensive, deceptive, or infringing names for your profile, leagues, or invite codes;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts;
- cheat, manipulate scoring, or use bots or automated tools to play;
- use foo-ball for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive players. You can report or block any player from within the app, and we review reports and remove offending content or eject offending users within 24 hours.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create, such as your picks, league names, and display name. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and use that content as needed to operate the service — for example, to show your name and standing on a league leaderboard. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.
Our intellectual property
The foo-ball app, website, name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it except as the law allows.
Independent fan project
foo-ball is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise associated with any tournament organizer, soccer association, league, team, or governing body. Team, country, and tournament names and any related trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification and commentary only.
Disclaimer of warranties
foo-ball is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Match data and scoring come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or corrected; we aim for accuracy but do not guarantee it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, foo-ball and the people who build it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Because foo-ball is free, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold foo-ball harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or of any law or the rights of others.
Termination
You can stop using foo-ball and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if we discontinue the service, or as needed to comply with the law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.
Governing law and disputes
foo-ball is operated from the United States, and these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to first try to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@foo-ball.com. If we can't resolve it, disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in the United States, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except where local law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of foo-ball after an update means you accept the revised terms.
